The Scania Smart Dash is a next-generation in-cab ecosystem designed to make driving personal, safe, and efficient. We reimagined the interface to blend Scania’s design heritage with modern digital intelligence, creating a system that feels intuitive, intelligent and elegant.

Our focus was on two things: a driver-centered experience with dual displays, customisable widgets and personal profiles that adapt to hauliers’ mobile workflows. We also wanted to create a scalable design system that allows Scania to implement brand consistently across hardware and software. Every interaction balances digital innovation with a human touch.

Leading a multidisciplinary team of 30+ designers, I oversaw the design system, end-to-end product design and customer experience workflow. I collaborated closely with clients and engineers to ensure every detail - from Aurora Borealis-inspired colours to 3D spatial hierarchy - reinforced clarity, glanceability and brand integrity.

The result is a Smart Dash that transforms the driving experience: connected, intuitive and deeply personal. It reflects Scania’s innovation and heritage, delivering a product that is future-ready and human-first.
